The Manager for Mechanical Circulatory Support oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of care for patients with Mechanical Circulatory Support ( MCS) in collaboration with the CT Surgeons, Interventional cardiology and the Advanced Heart failure Team. Coordinates and manages the patient care of this high-risk patient population throughout the continuum to optimize the patient's clinical, functional, and psychosocial status.
Other responsibilities include:
•Provides the communication link for coordination of care among the multidisciplinary health care team involved with this patient type, to work with the CT Surgeons, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac OR , Perfusion and Nursing in orchestrating a performance improvement program that focuses on continually improving the outcomes of these patients
•Provides leadership and mentorship to the CT Surgery Program, Advanced Heart Failure Program, and Nursing Department through application of advanced clinical and experiential skills.
•Facilitates participation in cardiac/CT surgery-related clinical research trials. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: adolescent adult (19 through 64 years) and geriatric (65 years and above), though primary age group will be geriatric.

Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing (DON), Emergency Department RN (Emergency Department Registered Nurse), Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN), Registered Nurse (RN), School Nurse, Staff Nurse, Staff RN (Staff Registered Nurse), ICU, Cardiovascular, PICC, CVOR, Heart Transplant, Circulatory Support, MCS, VAD, Ventricular Assist Device, Cardiothoracic, Cardiology
•Master's Degree Nursing
•Registered Nurse in the State of OH and ACLS certified.
•3-4 years of critical care experience as Registered Nurse with at least one (1) year of VAD experience required.
•1-2 years of nursing leadership experience.
